Simple Hummus Recipe

Hummus is perhaps one of the most underrated spreads out there. It’s rich in protein and downright delicious! This chickpea dip is a favorite among vegans (and many non-vegans) and you can use it as an accompaniment for crunchy vegetables or scrumptious breadsticks.

You’ll Need:
400 g of chickpeas
1 tbsp tahini
1 lemon
A single clove of garlic
Extra virgin olive oil

Empty the chickpeas into a food processor and pour in the tahini along with one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Squeeze a few drops of lemon into the processor and peel and add the garlic to the mix. Now pop the lid on and let the food processor do its thing. When you’re done, sample the hummus and add more lemon or garlic as you see fit. You can even reduce the thickness of the hummus by adding a few drops of water. Cut up a few radishes, carrots, or any other crunchy vegetable you can think of, and pair them with the hummus for a healthy, creamy, and delicious snack.
